Post Christmas Tournament Results.

Final Results.

Holiday Hoopla, Vero Beach, First Round Games.

Well, Vero Beach is making a name for themselves as they whipped Dr. Phillips in the final. The team concept is working for Vero Beach. Ray Cummings is the main man for this team. A deep bench provides a hard nosed defensive team great scoring opportunities. Auburndale rebounded from their loss to Dr. Phillips to handle Boone in overtime in the 3rd place game. The fifth place saw Southwest Miami beat Palm Bay. Seventh place goes to New Smyrna Beach as they beat Hernando.

Derek Harper Classic, West Palm Beach.

Final Results.

Palm Beach Lakes is definitely beatable. A strong Orlando-Jones team proved that as they handed Palm Beach Lakes their second loss of the season. Calvin Liptrot and Jarvis Williams led Jones to the championship. The big three of Jarrett Brown, Corey Claitt, and Daniel Bryant were obviously distracted at Jones ability to break Lakes' press in the loss. Ely got by Suncoast in the 3rd place in their win. A 30-17 second half helped Ely cruise to the win. Xavier Perkins had nearly 50% of St. Andrews points in their 51-50 loss to a Keaton Grant-led Gateway squad. Gateway finishes 5th in the tournament. Sorry, no report for the Grandview Prep 7th place game.

Treasure Coast Holiday Classic.

Final Results.

First up, the North Division. Ft. Pierce Westwood continues their undefeated streak as they handled Jensen Beach, Port St. Lucie, and Ft. Pierce Central to the championship. Robert Jones and Terry Delion are showing that they are ready fort the next level. John Carroll ended their winning streak in a semifinal loss to Ft. Pierce Central. They bounced back well to defeat Port St. Lucie. John Carroll has been playing well with the addition of David Allison to the point guard position. A tough kid to guard and consistently providing 16 PPG. The absence of senior guard Matt Marcorelle has literally gone unnoticed as Eber Wright continues to put up consistent numbers for the Golden Rams. However, Marcorelle will be returning to the lineup next week. They can only get better from here. Desire Street Academy, LA handed Pendleton their 2nd loss of the tournament in the 5th place game. 7 foot freshman James Tyler provided a few dunks for the crowd at Wednesday night's victory over 1st year program Jensen Beach. However, it was junior Noah Zazulia that provided the offense. His 35 point performance may have been the high point output for the tournament. Jensen Beach bounced back after losing to Port St. Lucie and their two point loss to Pendleton to handle Summit Christian by nearly 30 points.

Next, the South Division. Martin County bounced back from a six point halftime deficit to defeat a quality Key West team. Sophomore Anthony Raimondi was the high man for Martin County as he hit 4 3's enroute to a 24 point performance. Key West senior Tony Roberts seemed out of sorts in the first half. The second half showed something was not running right as Martin County came back to take the ten point win and claim the South Divison championship. Winter Haven ran into few problems in claiming 3rd place over South Fork. South Fork will be without junior guard/forward Brennen Grubbs. He will miss the remainder of this season with a broken bone in his foot. Jupiter comes along and surprises St. Lucie West Centennial in come from behind victory. An exciting game to the finish. Jupiter has a young team. So, they should continue to improve. Brevard Christian had trouble in this tournament. A first round loss to South Fork and another loss in the second round setup the 7th place game against the youngest team at the tournament, sophomore-strong Lincoln Park Academy. Brevard Christian allowed Lincoln Park to score 21 points in the 4th quarter to hold on to the 49-46 win.
