Slipp-Nott Traction Mats

Well, I honestly can say that this review happened thanks to good 'ole competition. We had just posted a review on a competitor's product (Fast-Brake) and Slipp-Nott contacted us with some updated information. One thing led to another and within a week we had received three (3) different varying sized mats for our review. The first mat, a Project "X" type, was delivered within 7 days was even personalized for us, very impressive. Their personal sized mat and a 14" x 23" Trac-Mate followed two days later.

Slipp-Nott does provide email tracking to all customers that order on line or provide an email address. It was an unexpected pleasure to receive an email within 48 hours of selecting a personalized version of their Project X product. In addition, customers can call Slipp-Nott to request tracking information. The products were shipped via UPS ground and arrived much sooner than I anticipated.

Well enough about their excellent job of handling customer ordering. How good are they and do they compare to Fast-Brake? Slipp-Nott was extremely concerned about how we had approached the review of their competitor. I understand concerns over a new "show" in town. However, Slipp-Nott has nothing to worry about when it comes right down to it. Their outstanding mat base quality, handling of customers, and ease of customization of mats are exemplary. I would rate Slipp-Nott 10 out of 10, if we actually ranked products.

The base has ribbed rubber backing that holds the base in place, while also protecting the floor. The base also has a comfortable handle for ease of carrying. Each mat set is individually numbered in reverse order to be aware of how many sheets are left. Unfortunately, their website makes no note of their personal sized mat. It is simliar in size to the Fast Brake model. However, the size is the only thing similar when making a comparison. Slipp-Nott's personal size comes complete with a base to affix the sheet set to. The base has an area above the sheets for handling unlike the Fast-Brake product, which offers no base to attach the sheets. The personal size base is constructed exactly the same with the ribbed rubber base to eliminate the base slipping on the floor.

Bottom line, teams from the NBA and NCAA have got it right by selecting Slipp-Nott. A great value for the money. My advice, if you have ever considered a traction mat system, would be to contact Slipp-Nott, today!!
